My name is Amanda Blake. I currently serve as a Technology and Learning Coach at Jackson Creek Elementary School. The last 17 years of my life have been dedicated to educating children in the public school system. Being a teacher has taught me to be organized, work in a team, be creative and stay up with current trends, multi-task, be efficient, to stay calm in tense situations, and to communicate well.
My current professional goal is to take another step in my life as an instructional coach, where I can continue to help others develop and refine their own coaching skills.
I believe in keeping my skills up-to-date and challenge myself to grow professionally. This includes taking certification classes online (I am currently taking the course to obtain Level 2 Google Certified Educator status), and often take mini-courses offered by technology educators I follow online (for example, I am currently take a class through DitchThatTextBook).
